The following is an expression of the Commitment to Christ expected of members and encourage in adherents:
Having been led to repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, our Saviour, we do now, in the presence of God and this assembly, most solemnly and joyfully enter into this covenant with one another as one body in Christ.
We covenant, by the aid of the Holy Spirit,
– to walk together in Christian love
– to join in mutual labours for the kingdom of Christ
– to strive loyally for the advancement of His church in holiness, knowledge and
love
– to promote her prosperity and spirituality
– to maintain her ordinances, worship, discipline and doctrines.
We covenant
– to contribute cheerfully and regularly as God prospers us to the support of this church and all her ministries
We covenant
– to maintain private devotions and family devotions where possible
– to endeavour to bring early to a saving knowledge of Christ all over whom
we have cared and influence
– to walk circumspectly in the world
– to be just in our dealings and faithful in our engagements
We covenant
– to watch over one another in brotherly love
– to remember each other in prayer
– to aid each other in sickness and distress
– to cultivate Christian sympathy in feeling and courtesy in speech
– to be slow to take offense and always ready for reconciliation
We covenant to witness
– faithfully to the saving and keeping power of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ
and His promise that all who call on the name of the Lord shall be saved
